Allison Harris Sparkles as Mumbai Smashers Capture the IPBL 2025 Title
At the center of their triumph stood women’s doubles star Allison Harris, whose composure and clutch play proved pivotal on the biggest stage.
In the electric atmosphere of the New Delhi final, Allison delivered one of her finest outings of the season—first anchoring the women’s doubles with sharp movement and steady exchanges, then returning in the high-pressure Grand Rally, where Mumbai sealed the championship with authority.
Speaking to Pickleball Now, Allison was overflowing with emotion after the win.
“Exhilarated… I feel amazing. I can’t believe we did it,” she said, reflecting on the team’s remarkable rise from the bottom of the standings to league champions.
Despite her standout performance, Allison was quick to credit her teammates—especially partner Pearl—for keeping her steady.
“I wasn’t feeling great, but my team, especially Pearl, had my back,” she said.
“They kept me calm and reassured. I just wanted to give my best for them.”
The Grand Rally, often the most nerve-wracking segment, turned into one of Mumbai’s strongest moments of the night. Allison admitted she surprised herself:
“I don’t know… I wasn’t even that nervous,” she laughed.
“We felt confident, we felt loose, and we just went out there and played our best. Honestly, it was our best Grand Rally yet.”
Mumbai grabbed an early advantage and never let it slip—momentum that Allison believes came from their recent turnaround.
“We had been losing the first four, but in the last six matches we went into the Grand Rally and won them,” she explained.
With that winning rhythm and a team firing on all cylinders, the Mumbai Smashers etched their name in history as the first-ever IPBL champions—powered by the poise and passion of Allison Harris.
