“Har Ghar Dhyan” Campaign: Friends, although yoga and meditation have been an integral part of Indian culture for centuries, but in the last few years, we have become careless by coloring them in the color of modernity.
The result of this is that a large section of the country is currently in the grip of mental stress, whose effect is also visible in the society. At present, the Ministry of Culture has taken an important step in this direction in the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, in which there will be an initiative to reconnect people with meditation.
Introduction session on “Har Ghar Dhyan” campaign organized
Under the aegis of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region organized a one-hour introduction session on meditation and mental health on January 31, 2023 for its officers/staff under “Har Ghar Dhyan” campaign at Vigyan Bhawan Soudha, New Delhi organized. The session was led by Ms. Arunima Sinha and Mr. Suyash Raj Shivam from The Art of Living.
During the session participants were sensitized towards mental and emotional health, introduced to a simple and easy-to-follow method of meditation and provided with a host of insights for the ongoing journey of self-improvement.
Ministry of DoNER wishes to work towards taking the practice of meditation and mental health to new heights for people from all walks of life in the near future.
Ministry of Culture prepared a plan in collaboration with Art of Living
The Ministry of Culture has decided to run the "Har Ghar Dhyan" campaign till the completion of 75 years of independence i.e. till 15 August 2023.
The Ministry has roped in Art of Living and its founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in this campaign, who will run this campaign with full force across the country.
The Ministry has also released a module. Under this, any institution or group can organize this campaign at their place. In which a session of one hour will be held to connect people carefully.
During this, trained trainers of Art of Living will introduce people to meditation and its benefits. This session will be completely free.
Meditation ambassador will be prepared
Under this, the ministry will create meditation ambassadors across the country. Who will continue this campaign even further. The Ministry has taken this initiative after the huge success of Har Ghar Tiranga across the country.
Along with this, the Ministry has also planned to run this campaign on a large scale in universities and higher educational institutions in association with the UGC. After this, UGC has suggested all higher educational institutions to join this campaign.
Also asked to nominate a senior teacher or employee of the institute as a meditation ambassador. Who will be in direct contact with the trainers of Art of Living regarding the organization of the session.
