Feel the Squeeze! Orlando’s Pro Pickleball Team Hits the Court Next Week
ORLANDO — Mark your calendars and get ready to rally — Major League Pickleball is kicking off its season with a bang right here in Central Florida.
From April 24 to 27, the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona will host MLP Orlando, a four-day showdown featuring the league’s top talent, fierce competition, and an unforgettable fan experience for all ages and skill levels.
At the center of the action? The Orlando Squeeze — the city's very own pro pickleball squad that's bringing serious energy and star power to the court.
Formed in 2023 during MLP’s rapid expansion, the Orlando Squeeze have quickly become a fan favorite.
Backed by local sports executive and philanthropist Ryan DeVos and the DeVos family — who’ve led the Orlando Magic since 1991 — the Squeeze are rooted deeply in the community and represent the same passion, pride, and competitive fire that define the City Beautiful.
And they’re not just here to play — they’re here to win. In their debut season, the Squeeze captured a championship title, immediately cementing their legacy in the league and helping fuel pickleball’s explosive growth across the region.
But the team’s impact goes far beyond the court. They’ve been building a strong local following, hosting community events, exhibition matches, and outreach efforts that have helped put Orlando on the pickleball map.
With the world’s No. 1 player on the roster, an eye-catching line of fresh merch, and an electric vibe that matches the city itself, the Squeeze are the real deal.
Major League Pickleball has elevated the sport from backyard fun to professional spectacle. Its unique format includes four-match team battles — men’s and women’s doubles, two mixed doubles matches, and the thrilling singles tiebreaker known as the Dreambreaker.
With 16 Premier Level teams, 10 regular-season events, a Mid-Season Tournament, playoffs, and the high-stakes MLP Cup in November, this league is packed with action from start to finish.
So whether you’re a lifelong fan or just curious what all the pickleball buzz is about, MLP Orlando is the place to be next week.
